PomoTimer Online has no accounts and no ads. We do not ask you for personal information and we do not sell data. We do use Google Analytics to measure how the site is used, which is described below.
What stays on your device
Your focus and break lengths, your theme, and your sound preference are saved in your browser's local storage. They are never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes them.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics, loaded through the Google tag, to understand how many people use the timer and which pages they reach. It stores identifiers in cookies and local storage on your device, and collects the pages you view, your approximate location derived from your IP address, your device and browser type, and the site you arrived from.
We use this only in aggregate and never to identify you. Google processes the data as described in its own privacy policy. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on, with your browser's tracking protection, or by blocking cookies for this site — the timer works exactly the same either way.
What our host sees
The site is a set of static files served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request data — IP address, browser user agent, and the page requested — to deliver the page and protect the site from abuse.
Sound and notifications
The chime and any desktop notification you allow are produced by your own browser. Permission is asked for only after you press Start, and nothing about it is sent to us.
Third parties
Google Analytics is the only third-party service on the site. There are no ad networks, no third-party fonts, and no social widgets.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
